Mounjaro Is Prescription Only
Mounjaro (tirzepatide) is a prescription only medicine in South Africa, registered with SAHPRA and distributed by Aspen Pharmacare. It cannot legally be purchased without a valid prescription from a registered SA medical practitioner. We do not supply medication directly.
SAHPRA has issued warnings about substandard and falsified GLP-1 and GIP/GLP-1 products sold outside the regulated pharmacy chain. Buying tirzepatide from overseas online sellers or compounding services is risky and often illegal in South Africa. Only the Aspen distributed product from a SAPC registered pharmacy is the regulated route.
Not A Cosmetic Treatment
Mounjaro is approved for the treatment of type 2 diabetes and for chronic weight management in adults meeting specific clinical criteria. It is not approved or appropriate for cosmetic weight loss in people who do not meet these criteria.
